Commercial Gas Engineer

Our mission is to maintain, support, and repair the Coop Group's vital gas assets across their Food and Funeral Care establishments. We are in search of highly skilled and motivated Commercial Gas Service Engineers to join our team.

Role Overview:

As a Commercial Gas Service Engineer, your role will be pivotal in ensuring the safety and functionality of the Coop Group's gas infrastructure. You will undertake a diverse range of tasks, encompassing planned and reactive maintenance work, Gas Safe Inspections (CPPM’s), and related remedial actions. Your commitment to safety, quality, and efficiency will be crucial in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute planned and reactive maintenance work on gas assets.
  • Conduct Gas Safe Inspections (CPPM’s) and perform associated remedial work.
  • Ensure all tasks are executed safely and meet the highest industry standards.
  • Complete jobs within specified timeframes and budget constraints.
  • Maintain accurate records of all work carried out.
  • Exhibit a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Display professionalism, courtesy, and helpfulness at all times.
  • Be adaptable, as some out-of-hours work may be required.

Required Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Commercial Gas Service Engineer.
  • Proficiency with vented and unvented systems.
  • Valid gas certifications/qualifications including COCN1, MET1, CCN1, CEN1, CKR1, HTR1, CDGA1, CIGA1, CODNCO1, CORT1, and UVHW.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Possession of a full clean driving license.
  • A CSCS Card is desirable.
  • IPAF & PASMA certifications are desirable.
  • HVAC experience is advantageous.
  • All qualifications must be presented during the interview.
